Possibly the best known poker game in the world. Seven Card Stud is a classic game, but mastering it can take a lifetime. In Seven Card Stud, seven cards are dealt to each player during the course of the hand, but only the best five-card hand of each is used to determine who is the winner.
Each player is dealt two covered cards and an exposed card, which all players can see. The player with the lowest card shown is the “bring in” and is forced to bet half of a small bet or a full small bet (for example, $ 1 or $ 2 in a $ 2/4 game $). The action continues clockwise until the betting round is over.
How to play
Note: to determine who should bring the “bring-in” when two or more players have an exposed card of the same value, use the suit’s stick. The order of the sticks according to their value is as follows: spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs (from highest to lowest).
Each player now receives an exposed card, known as “Fourth Street”. The first player to act is one who has the best poker hand visible in his exposed cards. This player can pass or bet. If no player shows a pair between their exposed cards, the bet will be a small bet ($ 2 in a $ 2 / $ 4 game). In the event that a player shows a pair, it can be opened with a large bet ($ 4 in a $ 2 / $ 4 game).
Each player now receives another exposed card, known as “Fifth Street”. Again, the first player to act will be the one with the best poker hand visible in his exposed cards.
Note: as of Fifth Street, this one included, all bets are placed on large bets ($ 4 in a $ 2 / $ 4 game)
Each player now receives another exposed card, known as “Sixth Street”. Again, the first player to act will be the one with the best poker hand visible in his exposed cards.
Finally, each player receives another card, the seventh and last, now covered, that only the player who has received it knows. The first player to act will be again the one with the best poker hand visible in his exposed cards.
If after the last betting round is over there is more than one active player, the last player to bet or raise the bet shows his cards. If there was no bet during the last round, the player who has the best poker hand visible on his exposed cards shows his cards first.
The player with the best five-card hand wins the pot. In case several players have identical hands, the pot is distributed equally among the players with the best hands.
Once the boat has been delivered, you can start a new game of Seven Card Stud.
